Default borken ring scrached cylinder

i was re-building my motor and broke a ring putting the piston in. i turned the motor over by hand a few timesand noticed a large scrach on my cylinder wall from top to bottom. i pulled the piston and saw the broken ring. i plan to get a new ring set and hone just that cylinder. any tips/ advice?

How deep is the scratch. If the engine spun easy, I would think a hone and you should be fine.
