Default Question regarding stripping "flat black" wheels (I.E. Rotas)

Could the flat black paint be easily stripped from the wheels? If so, what all would be involved? Would I have nice shiny alloy silver if I was to strip the flat black from the wheels and polish until my hands bleed?

Thanks!

use air craft stripper to strip the paint, then yes theyd be shiny after polishing. But in case you've never polished before, you have to do sanding before you put the polish on. I know there was a ''how to'' thread for polishing. Search for it to get more details.

are you trying to strip the flat black to paint it another color or polish them??

here on H-T you can find how to threads for both: polish or paint.

Good Luck with the project.

it should be very shiney after you strip them with little to no sanding required. just get Mother's aluminum polish and it should bling. its not like the surface of the rota's are rough...
