How many coats will i be able to do with one can, I was thinking it would take two or three to get the paint as thick as i wanted it.

go to the store and buy 3 cans. most likely you will have paint left over but its okay. you can use it to touch up when it chips

Just go from one wheel to another in sucession until you run out of paint. If you feel you need more, make a quick dash to the store or buy an extra can and keep the receipt.

One last question how hard would it be to sand off the metal parts that the center caps clip into?
