iwant to change color on my slip streams considering my wheels have spots on them and they look horrible. they are black but i want to go bronze. how would i go about painting them. i have painted wheels before but they wer alway silver. since these are black if i were to paint over them wouldnt the black color bleed through the new paint? i was thikning of stipping the paint off but im pretty sure that these are powder coated and wont stop easily. could i primer over the black and then paint bronze?

sand,...primer,...sand,...primer,...sand,..clean,. .paint,..let dry

oh good. so no stripping at all? i really dont want the black paint to start bleeding through when the paint dries

if you primer,..it will not bleed through,..repeat sand ,..primer,..sand a few times

get 'em powdercoated. It will look much cleaner than just painting and it'll be much more resistant to chipping.
