jdm f22b swap..no ckp? URGENT!
ok, i'm swapping jdm f22b long block into a 96 accord. however, the jdm motor doesn't have the ckp sensor. We're using the usdm dizzy because the jdm one won't bolt up...now we can't get the car to start (no spark) and need to get that sucker running. does anyone here done this before and knows how to solve that problem?

96 is OBD2 the CKP sensor is the the crank of your orginal motor. You need to take the four wire clip on the side of the timing belt cover and rewire it to your distributor, in the four pin connector the colors go as follows
GREEN becomes the orange with a blue trace
RED becomes the white with a blue trace
BLUE becomes the blue with the green tace
WHITE becomes the blue with the yellow trace.... the capital colors indicate the colors of the wires on the OEM 1996 harness connector on the side of the timing belt cover. This harness goes below the crank pulley and attaches to the oil pump

the problem is..jdm f22 doesn't have ckp by the crank pulley. i was gonna use the jdm dizzy but only the usdm would fit (external coil). i'm trying to see if i can install the ckp sensor into the jdm motor tomorrow..

what harness did you use the original harness??? If so you can either swap the entire oil pump or make your harness adapter to run over to the distrubtor
