Went to one of my favorite places in the world: Church Automotive Testing.
Shawn worked his magic and managed to pull some decent gains out of the old ITR. Blew up the motor a few months back so Dan Benson sleeved it for me and Jeff from Import Builders hooked me up with some 81.5mm Wiseco pistons. The engine is running Toda 'C's and Hondata.
Here is the before and after (tuning) torque graph:

Before and after (tuning) HP:
Here is a graph of the old motor (stock block, Skunk2 Stage 2 cams) vs the new (love that Toda mid-range
):

Finally, we slapped on Shawn's magic dyno intake to see if there were any gains to be had (over the AEM CAI). As you can see, they were pretty close-the intake resonance was just at different rpm points:

I would like to thank Shawn for an awesome job tuning the motor, Jeff for getting me those pistons (IB Spec Wiseco pistons always deliver
), and Dan Benson for another flawless block

I 2nd this, was the cr the same4 as your old setup with S2S2 cams or did you bump it up on the rebuild?

Compression is around 11.5-12:1. 400 miles on the motor since the rebuild. Header is the Comptech 4-2-1 race header. Hytech header coming soon
Im thinking the Toda C's are a little too much cam for that motor... Id say try and get your hands on a set of JUN 3's and see which of the 2 the motor likes better...
Damn nice #'s for a 1.8 grocery getter...

You need at least high 12s compression to get the full potential out of Cs anyway don't you?

Yes, 12,5:1 or so would be nice on Toda C cams.

More like 202 on a DynoJet. The old motor made 202 on Shawn's dyno and 192 at Rage Performance. I will probably hit a DynoJet for a baseline in the coming months just to compare.

Block is together. If all goes well the car should be running this weekend. The only problem is that Hurricane Howard is generating some awesome swell, so I might be surfing when I should be putting the engine in
