Which coilovers
I'm looking to get some coilovers but wanted to see what most people are using. I like the Tein setup but don't know if there's something that would work better on the S2k. Any info would help, thanks in advance.
There's always something that will work better. But it all depends on your budget and the intended purpose. If you are just driving on the street and an occassional autocross, stock or even ground control with konis/eibachs will work fine for the dollar.
Street and the occasional auto-x would probably be the extent of what I'd use it for but I want to make sure I do it right, I'm tired of having to redo things b/c I didn't save an extra couple $100, money doesn't matter. Thanks for the info...any other suggestions as to what has worked well.
it depends if your a hardcore track person. if your not going to do any serious racing go with somthing more wallet friendly. i do not track my car and i decided to go with koni yellows and kgmm springs, although i want adjustability i am going with gc w/ custom rate springs. imo i think tien is just jdm bling.
Tein is kinda of just thrown together. their lack of quality shows in their product. they're not highly regarded amongst real track addicts.
the ultimate would be JRZs, Toda/Fightex, or Amuse Hi-Tech Dampers.
i myself am going for GP Sports, reasonable price, good all around performance, not 3 grand like the above mentioned. heh

run stock, I shaved an average of 2 seconds off my lap times after selling my Tein RS's. Auto-x times improved too. Car is easier to drive.

*thumbs up*
stiffer does not mean it handles better. you actually reduce the turn in rate quite a bit.

id say for go either H&R or bilstein PSS or PSS9...these are a lil stiffer than stock...and have the adjustable hieght....IMO great for everyday driving and some track sessions...
....if i had the doe id be all over the H&R PSS9...similar to the amuse setup
