Default Hytech exhaust???

Just Installed Hytech exhaust on my 98' ITR.....Everything went good except for the fact that the exhaust is resting against and putting pressure on my shift rod. One of the spring bolts is bent (the spring part not the bolt) because it's not long enough and is extremely tight. I'm going to replace both spring bolts with longer ones so they are straight and and snug, not bending tight. Is there anything else i should do as well to correct the problem....Did anybody else have this problem or others with this exhaust????? thanx

The custom jobs always require some fiddling - sounds like you are on the right path.

I always thought custom and more expensive would fit better.

Well i had to use a hammer on the heatshields to keep my Hytech exhaust from rattling, but that was all really, fitment was very good. But i also have a Hytech header, don't know if the fact that he has a Comptech header makes a difference.

When you use bigger piping like the true 2.5" systems - you have a lot less clearance.

So some tweaking is always necessary.

BB4Lude: try adjusting the hangers as well
