its your blow off valve, you should goto like advance auto or some other auto parts place and tell them that you need a blow off valve

if you have a loose clamp or loose filter itl make a sound like that, but youve prob already checked that.

You can check your vacuum lines if you think you're leaking, but its probably your m4d t1t3 1nt4k3.

it's prolly the sound of the intake sucking air which is its purpose

Please could you help me with this problem?

My 9 month old CRV makes a whistling noise when it is doing 2500 RPM. It only makes this noise at 2500 RPM any gear but not at any other RPM. Is this normal? It has only 3500 miles on the clock.

I've read a number of postings on the whistling noise issue and some people are saying it's because of "aftermarket intake" and some say it's because of "AEM CAI". I don't know anything about cars. Could you please tell me what is "aftermarket intake" and what is "AEM CAI"? Thanks.

It replaces the stock intake system to let the motor breath more..
CAI stands for cold air intake..This involves having the intake filter mounted somewhere in the fender well to suck in cooler air..
You dont have to but a high priced aem intake though..

Thanks for your help.

My car engine hasn't been modified in any way, so how can it get this noise? Bought it brand-new from an authorised Honda dealer. First 7 months, no whistle. Then whistle for the last 2 months.

the whistling noise is normal if its coming from an intake.

I took my car into a Honda service centre to have it checked out and they said the noise is "normal".

I think I will take it into another dealer.

you can if it will make you feel better, but its normal like the posts above. good luck

p.s. do you have the stock air filter ? why not try taking your off intake and then putting that back on and see if the noise goes away. have you tried that yet?

I know of someone with a weapon R intake, and it always whistles at a certain throttle position, and I believe it is just normal. I like the noise, I think its cool. It's just air being sucked through spaces to get in the pipe.
