brake pads for rear
I am getting ready to put my da rear disc swap on my 91 dx I ordered teh goodrigde ss lines, and i plan on getting autozone blanks. What pads should i order to go with this? Car is a spirited daily driver
with a few autocrosses thrown in. Something with minimal brake dust of course.
What are you guys using, and what do you suggest?

"Minimal brake dust" is going to severely limit your choice of performance pads.
AEM pads, along with Axxis MetalMasters, don't dust much and stop better than stock - but stopping power isn't spectacular.
EBC Green pads barely dust at all, but don't stop much better than stock at all either.
Axxis Ultimates stop like a sonofabitch, but also dust like a sonofabitch too.
Make sure you are using a similar or better pad in the front than in the rear; having the rears lock up before the fronts is not fun.

I got AEM ceramic pads up front and they suit me just fine and I got the Auto zone gold last (or something similiar to that) semi-metallic pads for the rear. They dont dust to bad....seems to work pretty good for me

I've never used them but I hear that they don't dust much. I have no idea what the stopping power is like.

hzhhahaha, well lets hope justice is on your side
She told me the decision would be mailed out THAT day or the next, and they sent it to my fathers house 60 miles away, took over 3-4 weeks i believe, with what should have been 10 days max. I just expected to get screwed as usual and forgot about it ....

if you get aftermarket pads they will eat your rotors, if they are actually performance...go to advance auto, get the gold series pads, they are less metallic which means less dust and squeak, a little better than stock.
I use Cobalt GT pads for the front and stock OEM for the rears...ideally, you don't want to lock up your rear brakes with a set of grippier pads.

I am using Axxis Ultimates at all four corners. They dust a lot and occasionally make a bit of noise. Stopping power is excellent however; they have a great bite and good fade resistance - acceptible for light duty track use such as HPDEs, and great for autocross.
Although I've never used them, just going by the specs, Cobalt GT Sports are similar to Axxis Ultimates with slightly better bite and temperature range. I also hear that they dust a little less, but to me that's not saying much. They are a bit more expensive than the Ultimates.

he asked for a suggestion...thats mine. brake dust is not extreme, but more than say an oem pad. nothing a car wash can't handle.
