ok i have a 90 accord lx automatic. the car turns over about four times and then starts or you have to wait and do it again and it will start, and on the start the cars just spudders and gradually gets up to speed the spuddering is not that bad but very noticable. i check plugs there black which is usually fuel, and wires are fine. any ideas out there
Here's a quick and easy check: Remove the upper timing cover and set the engine to top dead center so you can check your valve timing. It sounds like you are 1 or 2 teeth off.
Could be oin on the plugs too. New seals? Might need new plugs also if one isnt exploding, that would cause the liquid buildup in there. Swap a plug and see if it clears out. If so, that plug is done.
In addition to eveyrone else's info, a possible plugged cat converter. Pull the cat off and see if it has melted. I have had that problem before on my car.

Between checking fuel pressure and checking the accuracy of the timing belt, you'll have about 5 minutes of diag time invested.
Is your ignition timing off (again, a jumped timing belt will cause this to happen)? Do you have a plug wire out of position?
