Opinions on camera purchase needed
Hey guys. Im in the market for a relatively high end digital camera. Im looking to spend around $1000 but if there is a better camera that is worth it for about $1200 I would spend the extra dough. I was looking at the Canon Digital Rebel vs. the Sony DSC-F828. I was wondering if any of you guys had experience with both of them. Pros and cons type stuff. Ive done some research about the specs and such so thats not really what Im looking for. Im really just interested in personal opinions.
Also I went to dpreview.com today and saw this

i would limit your choices to the canon digital rebel or the nikon digital slr.
both excellent slr cameras, or you could step up to the canon 10d

Ok...After reading a little about both the Canon 10D and the Nikon D70, they are now in the running. So instead of narrowing my choices, you guys have done the freakin opposite
... Why no love for Sony though?
After comparing the 10D and the D70 it seemsthey are pretty similar and in the same price range. Why should I pick one over the other? Or over the rebel for that matter? Thanks again guys.

Indeed, I have. Sample pics from all of the cameras I have list have met my approval. I am just looking for peoples opinions. There are little idiosyncrasies that can make one product better than another. A camera may take the best picture in the world but if its too heavy to take anywhere, then its probably not the best buy. Im basically looking for opinions based on intangibles rather than specs.
Thanks everyone
