cliff's notes:

guy in suburb of Des Moines claims to be parting out a car. people either don't get their ****, or they get broken/damaged/unusable parts. he refuses to refund money, refuses to make good in any way shape or form, cops' hands are tied, i have his name, address, phone number, social security number, and lots of other fun personal info. i have a 4-day weekend coming up, and am more than happy to meet up with some folks. I also have a few extra spare baseball bats if anyone needs one.

and yes, I AM 100% SERIOUS ABOUT THIS.

Because for the last 3 years, there has been e-thug after e-thug on HT, saying LET'S (notice the plural form) go kick so and so's ***. How many times has anyone actually lifted a finger off the keyboard and done anything related to an *** kicking? Zero. The moral of this tale is: allow the police and authorities to do their job, and take out your e-thugging anger by hitting your head against the wall.

actually, LET'S is not plural, because a plural is a form of a noun. LET'S is merely a contraction for "Let us". but thanks for the attempt at the grammar lesson.

as for e-thugging, there's nothing e-thugging about it. i am going to go give him a chance to refund people's money on the spot. i'm being offered a finder's fee for my troubles, and the rest goes back to the folks. i volunteered to help out and have been trying with his police department to get something going for a while now. they claim their hands are tied, so i'll be the hands instead. if you don't like it, crawl back to your intellectually superior cave. i'll continue to handle the matter as i see fit. you're not vince, so you have nothing to worry about.

Im in no way supporting the scammer but I know him, he was 16 when this went down and he has screwed lots of people, and the cops know him well. Hes not worth your time or effort.

Really depends on how much money the kid scammed you for. $50? maybe not worth it $500? worth the 2 hours drive from Offut to Des Moines. His age is pointless I would say and he sounds like a piece of **** kid that really needs to get his act together. It sounds like he has and is being given ample time to make things right.

Just curious why are the cops claiming that thier hands are tied?
