Default Radiator questions for TURBO OWNERS.

I have a 1995 integra ls radiator i just had installed about 5 months ago. the one i got is metal. just then about last week. it had leaked. Now ive noticed that my turbo is quite near the radiator (about an inch away) ive checked the radiator cap upper hose and lower hose top tank and bottom tank of the radiator. now some had told me that it had leaked so soon beacause the turbo was so close to my radiator, causing it to crack inside one of the channels or something, if someone could help me in any way, it would be great.

Second thing is, my freind had told me to get a b16 del sol radiator because it ia half the size of the full radiator. meaning that it would be on the opposite side of the turbo, leaving more space around the turbo and letting the radiator cool off away from the turbo. my question is, if i get the del sol radiator, would my engine get hotter because of the capacity of how much i have in the half radiator , then full. or it would be fine? anyone that can help would be great.

Is there any type of radiatior i should get for turbo setup for a fair amount of money? and what type of radiator should i get? plastic, aluminium, or metal?

thanks to all that help

i personally upgraded to fluidyne with flexalite fan. it wasnt required for my setup but ill eventually upgrade. iv heard alot of people upgrading to a del sol radiator (which is cost effective) and upgrading their fan. you can find some killer deals in the classifieds section.

I just upgraded to a pwr dual core. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=864750 Its a half-size one too like what it sounds like your looking for. I had an original stock rad (94 civic) until it blew acouple weeks ago. oh and i got a slim fan from the local auto store for $80.

Street Imports in the Sponsor section has alluminum dual core 2" Civic radiators for pretty cheap. I got mine for $130 and It seems to work good.

My teg radiator cracked as well (before I even had the turbo). I believe this to be a common problem with the OEM radiator. I now use the PWR half size with a Fal fan.

get a half size radiator (either c&r or PWR) and be done with it. no more radiator probs, more space, and the car will run cooler.
