new (remanuf) drive axle or new CV boots
My driveshaft CV boot got torn and i am wondering if i should replace whole the driveshaft (remanuf. one) or just replace the cv boots. CV boot is a lot cheaper but the driveshaft has 180k miles on it? what would the avg. life of driveshaft? I hope to keep the car for another 50-60k miles
Thanks. Jim
Thanks. Jim
change the whole cv joints if u get them at autozone they have a lifetime warranty so if the boot ever ripps or cv axles has any problems u just return it and get new ones
i would just replace the whole thing its a whole lot easier. my outer boots tore on my driver and passenger side so i decided i would change the boots since they were cheaper. but it turns out you have to replace the inner boot when changing the outer. i spent the $80 and did the passenger side. i still haven't changed the drivers side yet.
