Default Gauging interest; H to B series plates

Since there seems to be so much interestin the adapter plates;

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=933963

I've already started making measurements and mating the tranny up to the motor. The plate doesnt' look to impossible to do.. I just have to get some CAD drawings out to my machine guy and voila. Adapter plates.

If I can get enough interest from everyone who wants one.. I can get them made. IM or email me if you're interested.

Right now.. I'm trying to figure out a complete package for all the necessary parts, ie.. flywheel spacer, flyhweel bolts, adaptor plate and even an intermediate shaft mounting bracket..

Not absolutely sure on pricing, but I would figure around the $500 range pending on what's included with the "kit"

Hey, I MAY be interested, and I'm located relatively close to you...

the "originator" of these plates seems to have gotten fed up of all the publicity...

I may get in more contact with you, we'll just see where this thread goes...

but count me in, I'm interested

I just ask one thing...please don't sell it for like $600 American like AllMotorCRX161
was going, otherwise I WON'T be interested....

Hey...it's Jay!

I would be interested in this for sure. If you could answer some of the questions that the other guy didn't...like is it really ok to have the input shaft be 3/8th out of the clutch?

If you can get these made i would buy one for sure. H22, ITR/GSR tranny with turbo in a CRX or Civic...SICK!!

Well.. with preliminary testing and fitment... I can see that the intermediate shaft most likely wasn't even bolted in the same stock location. So.. there won't be a mounting issue...

I'm trying to figure that out now with a mount fabricated to bolt on that shaft.

There's quite a bit to getting a patent for a certain product plus quite a bit of money.. So.. I realyl doubt there was a patent made out for this product. Plus it's such a waste if he actually got a patent and stopped making them.

No Kustom Racing....you've got NOTHING to worry about at all. NO PATENTS were taken out on this idea at all.....Allmotor's plate was a one time idea/plan/rough product he produced for himself and subsequently sold the car, plate and all, and is RID of the entire deal. Your in the clear and your business site is very well put together and presented. If you get this plate off the ground I'm quite sure I'll enjoy driving to meet you guy's and your shop, and am looking forward to doing business with you. I'm planning on utilizing the plate with a YS1 tranny, an H22, into a DA 90 LS Integ, running OBD 1. Best of luck figuring the plate out. You realize that Allmotor was running an Accord intermediate shaft eh.....

Wow.. thanks for the props.. and to think my site needed revamping.. Well an update at the least.

The plate hopefully won't be too difficult. Right now. I'm also contemplating a billet machined flywheel spacer to adapt the B series flywheel to the H series crank. That should be interesting.

if i'm not mistaken, there is a company that already sells the plate. They might have a patent on it.

Don't know if this is of any interest even for guys with EG, or EK H22 swaps.. I've heard of some shops being intimidated of doing the H22 swaps because of the difficulties involved with the cable shift linkage. So with this adapter it'll help with installation.

Yes, your right, there are actually two companies, one in L.A. (RS Machine) and Brian Gillespie of Hasport that HAVE indeed developed their "OWN" version of H22 to B series tranny plates. But those plates are they're "own" design's on that theme. AllMotor developed his "take" so to speak on the plate and now KS-R is doing they're version. NONE of these plates will be the same, for instance AllMotor utilized the Accord Intermediate shaft....therefore because all of the plates in question have been fundamentally different from each other there is NO copyright or Patent infringment taking place here.

KS-R has NOTHING to worry about at all. Go for it Man

The axles will depend on the type of mounting system you use.. I say mounting system cause there are no moount kits readily available from what I know.

For our own race car, we built solid mounts. Driver side was pretty much similar to the old L'Natural CRX. But the rest of the mounts were custom fabricated with bushings, etc.

I'm trying to figure out a more pratical and installer friendly mounting kit/system.

So.. again.. with regards to the earlier question about the axles. It really depends on the placement and spacing of the motor.

Feel free to email or IM me any questions you may have about this swap / adaptor plate.. Or even post a reply.. I'll try to answer all questions/ queries to the best of my knowledge. Cheers

That is were you are WRONG, there is a patent in place on this item. It was taken out in June. The reason that I dropped the project is because I sold the plate to 2 people and they were calling me every hour on the hour. The reason I got the patent on the plate is because if ANYONE ever made the plate for the "Same Reason of mating the 2 together" then I would get a percentage of the profit or I could sue the individual or company for making the plate and selling them without my permission.
