Default Is this a Vtec head?

Hey, I'd like to do a vtec on my d16a6, I know its been done and believe its called the Mini-Me swap, it'll be the first time and all that i'm doing this, but found a sweet action page that tells me what to do step by step, but I got this free cylinder head, and i'm just wondering if its the V-tec head that I need. let me know!

I think if you look at the casting in the sidet where the exhaust manifol goes you should be able to tell what year it was made and the p code.

Dont the sohc vtec heads have the sparkplug tubes towards the exhaust-side of the head? At least all the ones I've seen are like that, whereas the 88-91 heads I've seen have the spark plug tubes on the intake side like the one in the picture.

Non VTEC. Sohc VTEC heads have a little brace on top of the rockers.

thats not a vtec head

vtec head has the spark plugs towards the exhaust valves, has the VTEC solenoid on the rear left side of the head, and the valve cover is more rectangular
