he did not ask about usdm p13 ecus but the jdm p13 ecu -- I rev my jdm h22a with jdm p13 ecu to 7695 rpm on the tell tell Vafc and wonder how it hit that high scared the sheat out of me I thought they have rev limiters but have heard they do not on jdm cars but have fuel cutoffs instead ---
fuel cut (or rev limiter whatever...)on my jdm h22 with p13 is 8000 on stock tach so prolly right around 7600 7800 actual rpms.
Found that out by letting my dad drive the car......that bastard.

then why did my h22a jdm p13 ecu rev to 7700 rpm without hitting a rev limiter.. .I have just kinda been shocked by this swap deal I do not know what car (prelude 4th gen) my engine came from and what type of work was done to it while in japan but it put down almost 200whp and this is a n/a h22a --- but the engine reved over and went to 7695 rpm so does the vafc cut the rev limiter or would aftermarket cams and head work with a reworked ecu do that ...

Try taking it to 8500 and you'll see it's not possble one a stock ECU.
Didn't we have this discussion a few weeks ago? Every Honda ECU I know of has a rev limiter. The speed limiter is a different thing... JDM P13 is at 180k/h btw

at 7600 the fuel cut occurs, and it will over rev slightly past that, before backing back down below the fuel cut.

thank you that was what I was after I could feel it lose power after the fuel cut at 7600 but it went straight into vtec when I shifted to second.... so that could explain it ---
