I pulled the ECU out to get to the blower motor so ill ask this while everything is in pieces

I have a 91 Accord LX Automatic. Could I get an aftermarket ECU to improve performance even though everything on the car is stock (except a Cold Air Intake)? Any recommendations? I searched BTW.

 

i recomend the stock ecu. nothing else to replace it that works.

No. Stock.

stock will make you happiest....for those extra 2-5 hp you may (or may not) see from an ecu upgrade, you will lose:

-gas milleage
-rev limiter (don't downshift into the wrong gear!)
-fuel/ignition maps

your stock ecu is ok for the minimal upgrades you currently have...
