Default H22 tranny noise... problem

I have a 4th gen with h22 and w/ auto-manual conversion. 6 months ago I put in a diff clutch and fidanza flywheel. About a month or two ago I notice a noise (screeching sound) not bad but definitely noticeable when letting the clutch slip into first and the same when going into reverse. Seems to do it only when the engine is cold. Over the last month the noise has gotten louder and lasts longer from cold start up. I drained tranny fluid and refilled and that didn't make a difference. I am thinking it could be the throwout bearing. Anyone have any thoughts?

If it is the throughout (or release) bearing are all of them universal or am I going to have to contact the manufacturer of the clutch I got that came with the bearing?

It could be the release bearing, or it could be the flywheel making noise. You probably need to drop the tranny and check them out. It is a pain but that is what I would do.

Yeah I know that dropping the tranny is going to be necessary (dammit!) but what do you think it could be on the flywheel?

id lean towarsd throwout bearing, or the input shaft bearing but more likely the t/o bearing
