Default Radiator Keeps cracking, 3rd one this past month (any ideas what could be the problem)

I have a greddy kit on my gsr running on 5psi, and for some reason my radiator keeps crcking. Ive been through 3 radiaotrs just this past month. My car is not overheating at all though that is why im a little confused. I know stock teg radiators can handle boost b/c i see many people here locally and here on the board running stock radiators making 400whp. I cant figure out the problem! All help would we helpful Thanks

what are ur temps like? maybe it could be a bad head gasket, that would causehigher pressure in the cooling system.

If you are using a higher pressure Radiator cap it can lead to blowing the seals on the radiator endtanks...

Sounds like the head may be lifting or head gasket leaking under boost causing pressure into the cooling system.

What kind of radiators are you running? Used teg radiators? Upgrade to a pwr, replace the HG and see how that holds up.

If he's getting compression in the cooling system then upgrading to a aftermarket radiator won't help. He needs to fix the problem first and he should be fine with a stock radiator. There are many people running stock single core Civic radiators and much more power and boost with no problems.

have u figured out ur prob as of yet? a friend of mine had a similar prob with ihs car, he thought i twas the water pump, and he changed it, but it didnt help, what happened with his is that he used to use tap water fill it, and because of all the other stuff that comes with tap water, he got a build up, causing clogs in the radiator, so the water wasnt flowing well throug hit, i dunno, just another possibility, i guess u could have that checked out also, could be the prob. hope u figure it out man.

figured out the problem, everytime it would crack it would be in the 90 degree plus heat of texas and i would have the ac on. The problem was i never installed my compress fan for the ac b/c it would fit. So when i would be coming home on long drives and horrible traffic, with all the heat generating from the turbo, ac, and hot weather the one fan couldnt support it all and the radiator would just give out. I have now installed both fans and the cars running great again with the ac on and this hot hot summer.
