shift linkage problem?
Okay I am doing a b series swap into a 95 coupe. I bought 99 civic si shift linkage (the shift stablizer as well). It appears as if there might be a problem. The part that connects to the actual shifter (from a gsr) looks like it is too small. I measured it and there is a slight difference between the the width of the shift linkage and the shifter only like 2-3 mm though. I am really not concerned with that but with the way the end is angled out. It is hard to describe but the "U" shaped part of the shift linkage (that connects to the shifter) seems to be at an angle. Is this normal or is it possible it was damaged from honda and could be bent back. Instead of it looking like this it looks like this

My thoughts were to be for the shift linkage to be "straight" like the left drawing but it arrived like the drawing on the right. If those drawings seem confusing say you are looking down on the shift linkage like you took the shifter out of the car and you are looking at the shifter connection part...Let me know whats up.......Is it possible honda screwed up and just gave me a d-series? here is the part number for what I got54201-S04-G10
