i heard shell is crappy(watered down, leaves soapy residue in your tank and corrodes injectors) I know Ferrari uses Shell for Forumla 1, but that has to be specially designed for the motors. Whatever I use chevron mostly. 92 octance

this actually brings up a question i had. i was reading about brazilian cars that can run on alcohol or gasoline in any 100:0 or 0:100 ratio. And i was just wondering about ethanol, and how safe it would be to run in a car that isn't really configured to be ran with it. I believe i've heard of some people running ethanol/methanol in their cars as an addictive...gives you octance levels on the likes of c14/c16....but i heard that the shiet isn't reeally great for a cat if you're still running one. someone wanna break down the do's and donts of fuel mixtures?

Between those three, I'd say Chevron.

You know, I've never talked to anyone that has run it on the street. THe only guys I know that run it are running it in small block and big block sprint cars. They did, however, tell me that when they'd run it instead of the leaded turbo blue, the cars run MUCH cooler.

I dunno what it would do really in our engines..

well, if they're running it instead of a leaded gasoline, i couldn't imagine that i'd be any good. leaded gasoline, great lubrication...but doesnt like the stock cat much. any physics/chemical engineering guys in here?
