problem with clearing codes on 95 dx

Default problem with clearing codes on 95 dx

i replaced my dist. on my 95 dx.. i was throwing code #9 cyp when it finally took a ****. i tried disconnecting the battery, pulling ecu and backup fuses, pulling the battery fuse.. nothing.. codes still there.. i took out the dx ecu and puta 95 ex ecu in.. didnt start the car and the codes are still there.. wtf?? i had both ecu's out for 30 min, and when i put the dx ecu back in the codes are still there? im at a loss.. is there something im missing? i need some help..

thats what i was kind of thinking.. but the same sensor is bad on the new dist.? the only thing i dont understand, is how the codes were still there after i disconnected the ecu and battery, reconnected everything and didnt even start the car..
