215/40/16

is the same as

205/45/16

and you will not rub depending on your ride height, tire brand.

215/45/16 falkens you will rub at full lock.

I've run 215/45/16 azenis for now 2 years. 2-2.25" drop and -1.75 camber front, -1 rear. I only rub on the inner sub-frame.

My thoughts, but don't do it just because i said. It's your ride. I would never again ride on a tire with less than a 45 sidewall. My preference is a 45 or 50. Comfort and performance have not been given up. If the drop can be adjusted, get a good tire and match the ride height to what you think looks good.

man, i used 245/50/14s in my turbo crx with 14x7 old bimmer rims with a 25 offset, they rubbed but kinda and stuck out a little. not enough to bother the average person. they are 23.9 inches tall by the way
