i have a 1990dx and it has the d16a6 and the si tranny ( just swapped that part in). the thing is it still has the dpfi on it. i have the mpfi manifold, it is completly bare, needs everything. i had some guy tell me that i had a dx head and that it would not fit. although i have read here and on other boards that it would fit. will it?
what else do i need i'll have the throttle body as soon as i tell my friend i will keep the manifold. what else do i need. is there a big difference between the si manifold and the hf one, how can i tell the two apart. also what is the computer code for the si. thanks to all who answer and sorry if i ramble.

i got some friends who did b series swaps and have the stuff laying around collecting dust, they want to get rid of it and i want it so if they don't have everything i'll check back with you. thanks for the help.
Go down and read my post below .... I have a STD, and just did all that plus a head swap (2000 DX head on a '90 block with the Si parts to make it work).
From an Si you need the intake manifold and all accompanying hoses/plugs, injector, fuel rail, and the 4 injector clips with excess wire, distributor, ECU, and the throttle cable.
You will also need a roll of 18 gauge wire, strippers, cutters, etc., and a new intake manifold gasket.
Let me know if you have any questions since it is still fresh in my mind!!!

thank you again for the answers. would necessary to use the original vaccum hoses or should i just buy a silicone hose kit(one of those universal ones)? Can you post a picture with lables on the vaccum hose, where the go to and such(or email me) what about the sensors, this manifold is completly bare, will i be able to salvage any of my old sensors? last question, did it make any tangible difference. thanks again.
Mine had everything but the lower radiator hose and the injector plugs ....... you need to pick up the Honda service manual or a Helm's manual, otherwise you will be in trouble when you do it, especially if you've never done anything like it before.
I got the Si manifold, throttle cable, ECU, and all that for $125 ......

ok first things first....SI and HF intake manifold. they are different do to the porting on the intake manifold. on the HF the porting is way to small. the SI porting is alot bigger. i've seen the difference when my friend took his HF out of his car and swapped another motor in there. i got an SI intake manifold sitting in my garage getting dusty. but plan to put that in my DX motor when i'm going to rebuild my SOHC vtec next year.

i measured and the opening to the manifold is like 55mm i guess that makes it an si? thanks for the answers. also how hard is it to replace a ball joint, lower ball joint on the front passenger side, i tore the rubber when i swapped the tranny. also any thoughts on those cv boot kits they sell at auto part stores, worth it or just a waste, i gotta replace that damn thing too, it had little tears on when i last looked at it and today i looked again and it's busted. damn if it aint one thing it is another, at least for now it is.
