95 EX CIVIC ?'S
Just a few possible noob ?'s. see sig for set-up.
1) 10.5 to 1 compression, what gas, 92 or higher????
2) i use mobil1 super syn, is it ok to change back to regular oil say a castrol gtx
10w40? 10w40 weight to help with oil pressure alittle or would 5w40 be better?
3) what is the max fuel pressure that stk z6 injectors can hold and what do you recomend.
4)what should my spark plug gap. should it be raised or lowered due to compression jump or should i leave it at the stk setting? not sure due to comp ratio and msd.
THanks for any help that you guys can give.

I was once told that once you switch to Synthetic oil you have to keep using it to ensure proper lubrication, but If I were to present this statement as being a fact, which I am not sure it is, I would get flammed to all hell.
I was told the same thing but when i was told that they said that only applys to full synthetic oils. ie... redline, lucas, oils like that. mobil1 isnt a full synthetic. i work at a car dealer and my master tech said that it would be ok to siwtch to conventional. i only have about 1000 miles on the motor since the rebuild. i just want to be 100%for sure. any help on other topics?

92 octane is just fine for a comp ratio like that.
You can switch back and forth between synthetic and non-synthetic oil as much as you want without ANY adverse effects on your motor....it's no different than switching between regular or premium fuel.....you can burn either depends on your wallet.
I wouldn't worry what the max pressure is for your injectors is since you'll never be anywhere near it as your car wouldn't run, it'd be way to rich. I would go with the stock setting plus about 2 psi to begin with based on your mods then schedule some dyno time and fine tune it there. 2 psi may not sound like much but it doesn't take much to run rich.
you can increase your spark plug gap stock + .020 with an MSD ignition and make a little more power. Again I would do that as a starting point and then check it/add more gap .010 at a time untill you see the power fall off. If you decide to run nitrous at some point you will have to close the gaps down or better yet change to a colder plug with a stock gap.

i am already running a colder plug, i am running a ngk bkr7e-11. i was just reading that if you mill your head that you should advance your cam timing is this true, have any of you heard of this before.
You really don't need to run a colder plug if you're not running any boost or nitrous, a stock plug in the proper heat range will perform better. As far as advancing your cam because you milled the head goes, I can't say I've heard to do that specifically. You're bumping your compression ratio up slightly and most Hondas respond well to a small advance in cam timing anyway but I probably wouldn't go more than +1 degree for starters and get on the dyno and fine tune it there, that's the only proper way to do it. Tuning is the secret to getting maximum power and reliability from all the parts you've bought and money you spent!
Because your running a SOHC you have to be more careful about making cam timing adjustments because they affect the intake and exhaust at the same time where as a DOHC gives you much more tuning ability.
