i have a check engine light due to no oxygen sensor connected to the ecu...

will this cause my v tec not to kick in? and if not..what else can cause that? thanks

Why are you so worried about the vtec?

A bad o2 sensor will cause not only bad emissions but poor performance as well.

 

i know it will like shiet but will this cause the v tec no to kick in? i test drove the car and it was pretty fast but i didnt feel the v tec

 

is the a code for the v tec not kicking in?

Do you know for a fact that vtec isn't working or are you just going by what you feel/don't feel? You'd likely have a code if vtec wasn't engaging. Fix your O2 problem and see if you get another code.

i will do...i'll post if the problem persist even after cleaning the CEL
