Default will a CEL code 41 disable vtec?

my vtec is disabled for some reason, im throwing a 41 code with is primarty o2, i've heard that will disable vtech. is this true?

I don't think so. Code 41 is the preheater, it's not the actual O2 measurement.

would an 02 measurement disable it? because i have a testpipe and i believe my secondary is also throwing a code

it is the failure of the o2 sensor, sensor 1, which is on the forward part of the cat. had the same problem and it was because i pulled the wires out, pluged them in and everythinhg is okay now.

What code? There's codes for the O2 measurements and there's different codes for the preheaters.

The primary is there so the ECU can adjust A/F ratio. The secondary is there so the ECU knows whether the cat is working. (Well, that's a little simplified.) Each one has a preheater because otherwise they wouldn't work for the first couple minutes after you start the engine.

I'm not really sure about disabling VTEC, I just suspect that the PREHEATER errors won't disable it. I don't know about the real measurement errors...
