Is there a rollcage on the market, where the rear seats can be left in the car for the passengers? Any other safety bars, cages for transporting 4 persons?
Thanks!
Thanks!
it's not safe, even if they could "fit". The stock seatbelts probably won't be enough to keep their heads from slamming into the bars in the event of an accident.
Personally, I would never ask anyone to ride in the back of my M3. It's got a discrete cage, but still, that's just not a good idea.

Excellent advice Warren, it is definatly not worth risking injury. I'm going to be installing an autopower this summer and if I need to drive somewhere w/4 people I'll just have to take another car.
Here's a picture of my back seat with the autopower bar:
As you can see, even with the cross bar and harness bar removed (just picture them removed), the rear main loop braces still sit well into the rear passenger area. You are also very close to the top of the main loop if you are over 5.10 or so. I have the removable options so that I can use the whole car for moving stuff, but not for people. It just isn't safe.

How much does the Autopower go for and do they come powdercoated? Is it a bolt-on affair?

Exactly, carry a set of 4 Arai Helmets in the rear for everyone.
