Well if it's not rocket science then why isn't everyone making there own headers

That 30" of tubing is your first enginnering mistake on 9k+ RPm engine

Tubing Size, Tubing Length, Collector Outlet ,Collector Design, Megaphone Sizing, Header configuration (4-1, 4-2-1), tube pack routing, equal length. Those are the key elements that go into making a good header.

It doesn't matter where the ehader exits still needs to be properly done.

Like you said it's not rocket science just a tad bit of engineering goes a long way

edit: everyone who builds a header should be nominated for a pulitzer. I think I may try to build my own. Just got my new tig and I am gonna copy a good design. SO who has the best design?

Sorry the piece to create some backpressure. Muffler, baffle, expansion chamber, whatever. I wasnt talking about that big fart can hangingout of the back of your car.

AN-R has a nice side exit header for all motor. what has been said in the past about AN-R headers Cracking. i am proof that they are fine. Ive made 30 + passes at the drag strip and 3 days of city driving it open header and just beatin the hell out of my car and the header is fine. ive had the header for a total of 3 months. and the car is daily driven

That is insufficient to test a headers strength
