Wanted to know if anyone has used one of those pinstripe removal puck that you put into a drill. The car is a 94 civic coupe and the front has been recently painted. This pinstripe come off very easily. Now the door and rear are the OEM paint and pinstripe from the dealer. Now i know about pinstripe setting into the paint but this happen from from fresh paint from auto repair. From the factory they don't pinstripe cars, this is done at the dealers. Will one of these pucks work on 10 year old pinstripe or what my best line of defense. Thanks

Today me and a "friend" of mine
took off a pin stripe using a a Scunci Steamer... thats all it was good for.
Came off fairly easy using the steamer... which was returned to pepboys immediately after... its worthless for anything besides what we used it for.

I had 8 hours to kill at work, so I figured I get something constructive done!

Wow. Maybe I was lucky, but I used a hairdryer to soften the stripe up and peeled the whole thing off in about 15 minutes.
I think you guys might be overthinking the issue.

well..really depends on how old the car is..my 89 crx had those nice 15 year old encrusted pinstripes that..did finally come off after much frustating..peel..break..peel..break..and then..goo-gone..try everything mentioned in that earlier thread..hair dryer..razor blade(very carefully of course)to get the stripe started peeling..again and again..grrrr
slow but steady pulling on the stripe(because they love to keep breaking)..good luck and enjoy your stripe-free car

be very careful with the rubber wheels, they get hot very quickly and can burn through your clear coat and paint in a second, try lightly heating it up with a heatgun and peeling it off, no damage can really happen using that method
