Default VTEC NOT WORKING ... H22a ..

OK .. I JUST DID A SWAP .. EVERYTHING PLUG IN RUNS PERFECTLY EXCEPT THE VTEC .. I THINK IS MY O2 SENSOR .. ? ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS ?

sounds to me like you have clogged vtec sensor. its usually right by the search sensor

any cel's? start searching then start troubleshooting to find
your problem. No one can give you a definate answer to your question
it could be a number of things.

when i did my swap years ago, i had a problem with it going into vtec and it ended up being a dent in the oil pain from where they set it on the pallet for shipment. So if you have a dent pound it out.

Here is what helms say about what you will need to have vtec:

Water Temp of 140 or higher
Vehicle speed of 19mph or faster
Engine speed of 4900 rpm or higher

they forgot to mention Oil Pressure though

im assuming youve let the car come up to temp....youd be surprised how many people think theyre vtec doesnt work because they start it and try to go hit it and it rev limits out at like 6500..and theyre like OMG my car isnt working...if thats not the case here, check CELs
