That's fuggin' ugly! I'm glad my car survived my one 3-2 misshift. 10K indicated RPM is enough adrenaline for me!

It looks like the valve danced all over that piston. How extensive was your damage to the head?

Extensive. The head is what let go in the first place-dropped an intake valve. I found it in my oil pan.

I think that piston was determined to be #! no matter what it took

I miss shifted twice 2nd gear instead of 4th!! i only changed the pressure plate twice!
I think i'm really lucky!!! I saw the rev-counter over 12k

I love them. Just a little trickier to tune the idle. Car actually made a bit more power (2 hp) with more cam overlap, but idled like crap. I gave up a couple of hp for a better idle. It is my daily driver after all.

Is this on an aftermarket tach as the stock tach only goes to 10k rpm
