Default head leaking oil?

this is an eclipse 4 cyclinder. it seems as if it is leaking oil right under the head and on the block. what do you guys think? or is it dirty?

It's hard to tell from the photo, but maybe you need a valve cover gasket. You may have to post more photos to get a better idea.

head is clean, leaking begins under, i posted this days ago, im almost certain its a gasket, unless the head is warped or something. it leaks a good amount.

You should talk, asking about a leaking valve cover get a gasket and some silicon.

head gasket does not equal a valve cover gasket...

Blast it clean, then recheck it on exactly where it is. If its the HG, replace. Don't hackjob it and smear Hondabond or Hylomar on it and call it fixed.

yea i agree, motor is coming out tomorrow... its too close to the frame rail to deal with the timing without going crazy... i have the gasket set and other stuff. i dont want to smear honda bond on it. i found some oil in the anti freeze.

I doubt it's the head gasket, it's probably leaking from everywhere else and leaking down in that area. DSMs are notorious for leaking from the valve cover, cam seals, crank seals, oil cooler (oil filter housing), CAS, and oil pressure switch.

everything is getting new seals, it will be out in the spring, and i agree it is junk, hopefully i can make it nice
