Ok finally finished the mini-me swap, fired up first start. Ok thequestion is, on the spool valve where the vtec solenoid is at, on the side of it si a hole looks like it could be for a sensor the guy that sold it to me left it out, so when I run the engine it squirts out on the side, the same side the dizzy is on. I capt it off with a screw, but am I missing a sensor or something, and do I need it?? Theres nothing on my harness that can plug into, so Im thinking its not important. But I just wanted to see if ya had a clue of what it is. Oh yeah my vtec wire is connected to the pinkvafc wire if that info helps(its kinda random).

I believe that is where your VTEC oil pressure switch is supposed to be (if we are talking about the same plug). Unless you have a ecu that is reprogrammed not to look for it, you won't have VTEC activation.

 

so I need that switch to make the vtec work?? Humm so using my stock ecu with the vafc wont make it work??

 

I'm not too sure if the VAFC relies on the oil pressure switch to activate VTEC. I guess you can try it out and see if it works or not.
