Leaky Trunk / water in the lights / upholstery tacs
You'll have to excuse my posting 3 questions in one post. I'm on that 5 post limit.
First: my 95 GSR has a bloody leaking trunk. The water runs off the back and into a tiny gap behind the brake lights on the left side, then it goes into the trunk, there seems to be piece of foam missing? I was thinking that if I could find a set of lights from a junk yard that was in good condition I could just swap em. Thoughts?
Second: On the passenger side im getting water or condensation, dunno which, in the low beams and high beams. I was thinking of just replacing those too but I remember hearing about other Honda's/Acura's having that problem as well and was hoping for some advice from someone who had fixed that already.
Third: When I bought my car it had 2 out of 12 tacs holding the side panels of the trunk in. The Acura dealership wants to charge me $3 - $4 for EACH one. Anybody in the Arlington VA area know of a store that sells those things? Honda doesn't have them....

yes, tail light gaskets get old and shitty after a while. i removed my tail lights, removed and cleaned the gaskets, put silicone sealant on the side of the gasket that mates with the tail light and put them back on. no more leaks.
3-4bux?!?!?! sick bastards! look for generic/universal fasteners at pep boys or autozone, the ones in the trunk seem to get broken/lost often.
trunk can also get water from the antenna. in my car the water went thru the gap between antenna and the shiny flat nut thingie on the outside of the body, then it filled the antenna motor assembly and instead of draining thru the lil tube around the top of the motor assembly into the sunroof drain tube, it went thru a lil hole on the bottom of the assembly (can feel it's there if u put the tip of ur finger under). so i unplugged the small tube from the upper hole and plugged it into the bottom hole. voila! too bad honda engineers designed this thing all backwards
