how to mount metal heat shield on bumper???
try tacking studs to the back of the plate, and drilling holes in the bumper. use some larger washers and bingo, no bolts showing with all that good bolt strength
It depends on what you are using for the heat shield. If you are using slightly thicker material, some countersunk head rivets of the same material will work and look nice. If the material is thin (.020" or so) button head rivets work well. Use a washer of the same material as the rivets on the back to help spread out the clamping load of the rivets.

no, those are foglight covers, you probably want to make one out of aluminum and rivet it on using the small rivets, aluminum will stand up better than the carbon fiber will
Yea those are the kind of rivets I was talkin about.
You could do the plate out of either sheet aluminum or stainless and then they make the rivets in stainless or aluminum so just match em to what you use.
