Default Cast iron turbo manifold. Weld it.

I have a hairline crack in my Rev Hard manifold. Can I get it welded? If so what is the best way? Would it be better just get a new manifold?

The problem with welding cast iron is that it cracks if not uniformly heated/cooled.

1. Prepare weld (drill past the ends of the crack with 1/8" bit, bevel/gouge crack, clean).
2. Preheat to at least 1000* F.
3. Weld.
4. Postheat.

yes you can weld cast iron. you'll have to do the steps described above, and also use a high nickel rod. stainless rods work good too on cast
