F23 97mm crank
Looking for some more info on the F23 crank...from what I understand it is a 97mm crank correct? Will it fit into the older H22 blocks or is the newer bigger mains h22 block needed? With this crank in an h22 block, are there any options yet for aftermarket rods? Custom pistons arent hard to get, but i would think rods would cost a fortune. Dont really want to use Honda rods. Thanks.

The F23 crank has a 97 mm stroke with 55 mm mains... So it will only fit in 98+ blocks(H22a4)... You could use after market F23 rods, they aren't as abundant as H-series rods but they are out there none the less...

I was actually contemplating doing this to my spare H23 block that has a spun bearing. Seems like a PERFECT solution to use the block (machine work would obviously be needed) and to get more stroke.
I abandoned the idea when I decided to buy another car.
Has anyone successfully completed this??
