Default turbo lags bad all of a sudden

so im driving my car..b16 turbo-turbonetics turbo,.5 bar spring tial 38mm wg,just for reference if needed....ok so im driiving my car and i take it up to like 6500 rpm and it felt like it bogged or stopped for a second at around that 6500 rpm....since then i get this huge lag, when i floor it i dont really move but i can hear turbo whind and my boost gauge shows that boost is building, when i hit 3800 rpm it starts to pull hard from there,is this normal or is there a problem?thanks alot

Im not really clear on what you said happened to your car,
but i would suspect either a boost leak or exhaust leak.
Check the turbo to manifold gasket and wastegate gasket
for leaks. If that checks out, then go over all your charge piping.

There are a ton of things that could be causing it, but start there.

so my take on your problem is that you build full boost around 3800 rpm and it pulls nice up to 6500 where it bogs from there if you try and rev higher. correct?

to tell you the truth that is the highest i have taken it up to and it bogged, never tried to go higher,im just runnin fmu,no tuning or anything..im affraid to take it higher....think there would be any problems?or should i go through the whole 8200 rpm?

This is most likely the reason causing the bogging.

if you disconnect vtec and it runs better, sounds like your running lean. I agree with the guy above, uberdata and a wideband are your friends.

Google 'uberdata forum' for the forum site.

You need to tune the ECU. You need to get all the proper supplies before you blow the **** out of that motor. Also, get bigger injectors, and a fuel pressure regulator in that bitch. Here are some links to help you on your quest.

Just a heads up, to get everything you need to tune your ECU...it's going to cost you around $450 to $600. Uberdata is free software. Good luck.
