Default itr spoiler in gsr holes

as the topic says, i'm wondering if the ITR spoiler will fit in the GS-R's stock holes? or will i need to shave and redrill new ones for it?

it will fit the bolt holes, but the large wire harness hole will still show.

so either way to do it nicely i'd need to shave something..

cuz i'll either go itr wing or go no spoiler at all.

The ITR spoiler will fit in the holes. The harness can be covered if you force it underneath the spoiler. I cannot even notice the harness myself and I am the one who installed the spoiler on the car

Just use a 7/8" plastic hole plug in the hole, paint it body color if you want to.

i was wondering this same thing because i was told when you put an itr spoiler on a gsr there was a hole (for the harness i now know) but if you get the itr spoiler with the led light in it ($20 more i believe) then it should fit fine, no holes no shaving

ITR spoiler will fit perfectly on your stock GSR spoiler holes, but you're gonna have to cover two holes, one on each side. I just installed the DC2 white champion spoiler on my car last two weeks. Remmeber the gsr has the third brake light, that is the hole you're gonna have to cover up and one is for one other thing.

does that mean the replica ITR wing with the LED have slightly wider mounting points?

i had a similar problem mounting a mugen wing on my GSR. luckily for me, my car is milano red, so i just used some red tint vinyl to cover up the holes. not as noticable as using plugs IMO. however, you can of course just paint those black plugs if you use them.

Well right now I have a 97 gsr and when I bought it, it already had the spoiler, emblems and antenna shaved off. I was thinking (not definate yet), when I get some money I might put a ITR spoiler on it before I repaint it. But the holes were sealed closed, is it hard to re-open them?

Sorry for jacking the thread.

just cover the holes using electrical tape, then install the itr wing.

btw I have an itr wing w/ led painted in ssbp for sale.

As one person said, there are 2 holes to cover, one on each side. The one on the passanger side is the big one for the harness and the one on the driver side is just a peg that I found a plug for at Kragen. When I paint my car in the near future, I plan to have both holes filled in but keep my OEM ITR wing.
