Default Tranny know-hows needed

A buddy of mine got a motor swap in the other day, and figured we'd drop a new clutch in it before sticking it into a car, needless to say we cannt get the tranny off. We got the bolts out, and the tranny will slide about 1/4 to a half an inch away from the block, but wont go any anymore, anyone know whats stopping it?

I did a Trans swap in my h22 lude once, And I swore to my self that i got all the bolts off...

It would come about 1/4 of the way off, then, it would spring back So I got to looking, and there was bolts on the back side facing the drivers side that i had no clue was up there.

The trans should slide off real easily.

you probally got them all out, But hey, I figured id share a similar story.

See what you did, after reading that i had to go back out there a look around One thing is, whoever he got the motor from they or someone else had managed to ship the two 17mm bolts on the back of the tranny that connect from the block to the tranny, looks kind like \__ brace. I head just went ahead and undid the 3 that was connected to the block to free it up, so could the 17mm be screwing anything up?
