DC JDM 4-1 Skid Plate?

Ok .. So I've seen thousands of articles about FastLines JDM 4-1 skid shield.. and I'm looking for something similar..

Except I'm trying to find something for the DC JDM 4-1 .. I'm having difficulty.. I'm looking for any info/ideas regarding the DC JDM 4-1.. Not the JDM 4-1 Thanks

I've been thinking of making a skid plate myself.. but wondering where I can mount it without damaging the header.. I've heard welding directly to the header will NOT work!! ..

i was actually thinking of that or something of that sort for my mugen header

 

I made one of those for my DC JDM 4-1, all i did was take some 1/4" sheet aluminum, cut it to size(similar to the fastline). I then drilled holes on each side of the plate and took hoseclamps and fastened it to the header(the clamps go around all 4 pipes)..

I bottomed out a few times and this worked EXCELLENT.

 

So.. the only thing holding it to the header was hose clamps.. hmmm .. good stuff.. have any pics of the aftermath when you bottomed out? ..

So what were the dimensions of the piece of aluminum you cut out (lenth/width/thickness). I want to do this while my header is still new.
