Default help: fuel cutoff at 3000rpm (searched already)

well recently when driving the car, i'm gassing it and then the fuel seems to cut off around 3000rpm (i think the fuel cuts off, because i get a sudden loss of power like i suddenly let off the pedal) and then when i try to keep my foot on the pedal the rev's just don't go up. Sometimes it goes away itself, sometimes it goes away after i restart the car and sometimes it doens't go away at all. I'm also not throwing any codes (no check engine light) so i'm wondering what could be wrong with the car. The car is stock completely, and the only thing that i've done in the last month is put more oil in the car and spilts some. Any idea whats wrong? Thanks, if u need more info then just ask!

If you generally can't get your car to rev over 3000 rpm it could be a bad ecu. I've seen that happen in a few Si's around your year. If you have a buddy with an Si ecu between 92-95 swap it in and see if that makes your car work ok, I'm betting it will...
