Default ECU upgrades

i just bought a 2000 type SH. what do u guys recommend for upgrades to the ECU/engine management systems??

what do you have moddified on your car?

if nothing, then an ECU upgrade will not do much.

If it is stock than keep the stock ECU, even with bolt ons you really do not need an aftermarket ECU. What is your goal for the motor?

so far i got AEM cai and my catback exhaust is on the way, installed next weekend hopefully. also will be doing a header and either test pipe or hi flow cat. pulleys, cams eventually

a VAFC will you do you fine if you are planning such a mild build.

if you consider running higher compression for NA or boost then an ECU upgrade would be more of an importance to you.

it's a piggyback system, a little more capability than a VAFC.

lol, this thread is funny.

If you do an ECU upgrade you are mostly likely going to lose the ATTS unless you just use a VAFC. No need for any engine management until you move to the head/block. Maybe an FPR to rich it out if you get an insane header.

Why would you lose ATTS. The control unit for ATTS is completely separate from the ECU.
