RACING CHIPS FOR ACCORDS
I am very interest in getting a MUGEN racing chip for my car. My friends have told they do not work, but I was wondering if anybody has had one put in their accord and can tell the diffrence with it in
waste of money on a stock or bolt on car. what you need is the exact same engine that hte chip was made for. then it will help compared to a stock ecu...
also when did mugen ever make a part for a sohc accord engine??

there's nothing wrong with the chipping method of tuning, as long as the chip is custom made and custom tuned to the exact car/engine and ecu...for instance, i am currently using a p28 which i spent time tuning on a dyno to get a custom ROM made for my exact modifications...we were able to make about 11 more hp and 7 lb/ft tourque just from that dyno session...
but as to the original question, buying a cheap chip off ebay isn't going to do you any good...in fact it will most likely hurt you...most of those remove the rev limit and freely enable you to rev your car however high you want...it's a common fact that the f22 doesn't even make power in the higher rpm's...also, hope you never accidentally downshift to the wrong gear on the fly and over rev your motor w/o a rev limit...

nick makes an excellent point about the custom work......the one thing to remember is that an ecu change is a finishing touch......theres really not much good in changing the ecu when all you have is a SOHC f sereies motor with a APC intake and a bomz muffler w/ led light up tip
