Default Help! Can't get my b16 crank pulley off

The title pretty much says it all, I have the tranny off of the engine sitting on a pallet.

So the engine and tranny are out of the car?

Put a transmission bolt in one of the block holes, and brace the flywheel with another bolt. Get a huge breaker bar on the ratchet on the crank pulley, have someone hold the engine and push as hard as you can

try the thindergun!!! 650ftlbs. that thing will break your wrist if you're not careful. haha.. you better watch out tho, sometimes if the bolt wont come off and you put too much torque on it, you might just break it off. also, using heat isnt a good idea. heating it up will make the bolt expand making the fit even tighter. the only time you use heat to remove something is when it is applied to the nut or can ve transfered directly/quickly to the nut or threaded metal. otherwise, you're stuck.

Stick a large screwdriver through one of the holes in the crank pulley then under the lip on top of the oil pan. Hold the screw driver and try breaking the bolt while the screwdriver keeps the pulley from rotating.
