you cut the strut?? can you take a picture of what you cut and post it? it is a bolt that connects the LCA to the knuckle. not welded in or anything. did you try pb blaster, wd-40, etc? or possibly heating it with a torch? or if it's rusted, hitting the rust loose with a hammer?

those bolts r notorious my friend. Everybody has a problem w/ them they break, strip and sieze to the bushing. You need to drill out the bolt u broke off in there get new lca bolts and your probably gonna need new bushings. Next time use air tools if u have accses to them. Those bolts suck dude good luck.

machine shop?
machine shop?
I have never come accross a lower control arm bolt that could not be freed up by a 5-10 minutes with a propane torch. Make sure to nail the bolt with the blue flame where it is sticking for 5-10 minutes. That is gauranteed to break the rust bonds if you apply the correct amount of heat to the right place. Try it again and you should get it free. It requires less effort if the car is less than 10 years old.
if u use the torch to free up the bolt, ur most likely gonna have to replace the Lower control arm bushing. but if the torch method works to free up the bolt, then go ahead and do it. if the bolt comes off fine then ur only problem is press n in a new bushing. thats less work than cutting the bolt off and pressing in a new bushing.
the hardest part about redoing the suspension in the rear are those damn LCA bolts.

dont use a torch on it, it only makes things worse off and more expensive. The main goal is to save the bushing. Your best bet is to use an air chizel. (this didnt screw up my bushings) When this happened to my car while I was installing new suspension on my 94 Ls the front bolts came out fine but the back gave me trouble. I snapped my bolt nontheless. To getta new bolt, go to an acura or honda dealer theyll know exactly what your talking about becuase these bolts are the devil. Make sure after you pop it out with the air chizle that you put anti-seize on the new bolt so you dont run into the same problem. I know exactly what your goin through and its a pain.
lemme know how you make out, by the way what were you changing down there?

I had the same problem with my car, you shouldn't have cut the strut though, you should have just popped the hatch and removed the 2 nuts that hold the top of the strut on, thats what i did, and then i had to cut the bolt off and i went to menards and got a new bolt and nut of the same size and it works fine
go press that bushing out, replace it and get a new bolt. Use some 3M copper anti-seize when you put the new bolt in. Hopefully that will help keep it from seizing the next time you have to do something. Had the same probem with mine, pressed it out and replaced the bushing and bolt. $20 for bushings from http://www.suspension.com. good luck
grind away the bolts in between the struts and your control arm will be free with the bushing with the bolt still in it. take it to a machine shop or any shop with a hydraulic press and they can press out the old one and press in the new one.
if you damaged the bolt on the end of the strut itself, goto home depot and get a simliar bolt.
