Default EK9 modifications

Hi,

I have a 97 EK9. It has a 5Zigen exhaust on it at present. At a recent rolling road day it put out 184.3bhp.

What are the next stage of modifications?

I have been told NOT to change the standard exhaut manifold as the stock one is really good.

Any help would be appreciated,

John

The CTR comes with the same 4-2-1 manifold as the 96spec ITR, it was only the 98+ITR that got the good 4-1 manifold. Swapping it for the 4-1 ITR manifold would give you a pretty good gain for the $$ spent. Youve already got a good intake and exhaust, so I'd say get a good header for it, a hondata/vafc or something to tune it with (not sure what the petrol is like over in the UK but I know my civic was running lean before I had it tuned because our gas is ***** compaired to Japans). Maybe consider some adj camgears and stage1 cams if you want to start messing with the engine, otherwise just take it to the track and use it for what its supposed to be used for!!
Damn its good being able to import cars from Japan

put a ITR crank in that bitch. i believe thats the ideal thing to do to a b16b as it bumps it up .2 liters
